Mehran Sorourian, Founder
Khoshhaulam is one of her many contributions to her community. As an immigrant, Mehran is passionate about empowering immigrants and refugees by providing them with opportunities to thrive in their new homes. She is a communication coach and the podcast host at Empowering conversationZ, sharing zero to hero immigrant stories. Her podcast aims to inspire and educate her community by sharing the stories of those who have achieved the level of success they desired while addressing common issues immigrants face. Her work for the immigrant community does not end there. She leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee in the San Diego Human Resources (SD SHRM), bringing awareness to immigrants' issues in the workforce. She strives to improve the pay gap and work conditions of those she understands the most: immigrants, refugees, and minority women from male-dominant countries. Mehran enjoys building meaningful relationships, public speaking, writing, and creative painting. She holds a Masters's in Biology and worked in the Biotech industry and academia before her career shift.

Our First Recognition
Recently our founder was nominated for Rising Star category by NAWBO (National Association of Woman Business Owners). She is grateful for the opportunity but remains humble as she is aware, this work would have not been possible without the contributions and guidance of many. Those who supported this movement selflessly and those who guided and lift her up. See the full video to familiarize yourself with what we do and our why! See full video here
